About our dogs:
I hold very specific standards when choosing breeding dogs. Our dogs are chosen for:
Structure: My preference is a strong, sound structure, leaning to the working class dog that the Shetland Island dog genetically derives from. While I look for strength I also look for dogs reflecting specific character. My goal is to offer agile, sound bodies capable of the breeds origin of herding, along with an outgoing personality essential in agility.
Character: I have yet to meet a Sheltie within my standards that does not also have a loving and charming disposition. Shelties are a gentle, dedicated breed and are deserving of a home that offers the same.

Introducing (2009-05-02) - In the past few years we have been very busy and are excited to introduce you to our new canine family members. We bought our male, "Gunner" in Georgia. We are thrilled at the strong sable/white self portrait he throws. We reached out to Oregon to obtain bloodlines that we are equally excited about. Thus we gained Cedarcreek Clearly Golden Sea, "Sierra". Then we found our little tri-colored lady, "Holly" in West Virginia. We are excited about the color potential in this lovely girl. Every one of our new additions host a disposition desirable for a family pet with the confirmation and motivation honorary of the herding class Shetland Sheepdog. Our heart felt thanks go to Chelseacreek, Cedarcreek, and Buhrmans Shetland Sheepdog breeders for honoring the essence of this breed and for sharing with us.
Show your puppy incentive! (2009-05-02) - Even though we at Arus are not breeding for show, we would love to see our dogs enter competition. We are offering a special "show your puppy" incentive. If you purchase one of our puppies and obtain a conformation, obedience, agility, or herding title through a recognized showing venue, we would offer you a puppy free of charge from a future litter. We reserve the rights to use your achievement/title in future marketing.
